Mystery Novels
Megan O'Connell Mysteries are clean and light fiction novels set in Atlanta, Georgia. They all have humor and a touch of romance. Megan is a journalist who turns her investigative skills into finding a blackmailer and solving murders. With a little help from her friends she builds her Christian faith and overcomes obstacles and finds out whodunit.
Megan is an overworked journalist who returns home to Atlanta for some quiet time. Instead, she goes undercover in a very secretive software company to help a friend find a blackmailer. Add a touch of humor and romance and the corporate world isn't a bit dull when Megan's at work.
Is the truth too old fashioned to be believed? Megan investigates to find out if a megachurch pastor was framed for the murder of a former deacon who became rich preaching "all is relative." With help from her tech-savvy friends and some charming church ladies who solve all with prayer and casseroles, she soon finds the truth.
Megan has a assignment to find and expose a human trafficking syndicate in Atlanta. Investigating deep in the hidden world within sports arenas and old world mansions, one of Megan's sources is killed before sharing her secrets. Megan locks eyes with the killer but needs her friends to help keep her safe and prove that God does set the captives free.
Megan and Derek Mysteries start a new series as a crime solving couple. Megan is an investigative reporter for a Christian nonprofit and Derek has left his job as a homicide detective to start law school. They are a witty couple, slightly competitive, who love to bring justice and truth where there was corruption while living out their Christian faith.
Who shot Adam Cranford?
One hot 4th of July night, crowds filled the streets of a small rural Georgia town and fireworks exploded overhead. Adam Cranford sat at his office desk waiting on a visitor. Someone stepped inside and aimed a single accurate deadly shot at Adam's head.
Was it the political opponent for his incumbent seat on the county commission? Was it his gentle wife who never argued until the day before he died and moved out of the house? Was it the law partner who loved the widow from afar and disapproved of Adam's ethics? Was it one of Adam's criminal clients who thought he knew too much? Or was it an unknown person to the small town where everyone knows everyone?
Four years later, the killer is still at large. A new political race for the upcoming election brings accusations between two of the county commissioner candidates and against the police. Tired of innuendos against his department, Sheriff Tagger hires former Atlanta homicide detective, Derek Fielding, to reopen the case and take a new look at the evidence and the suspects. But he doesn't work alone. Megan and her tech savvy friends offer their expertise.
Derek and Megan, a married couple with a knack for solving mysteries, are on the case again. In A Civil Murder, Derek has left his homicide detective career to start law school. At orientation, he meets a professor who is also a neighbor. The elderly man and his wife disappear, unintentionally leaving their little Snickerdoodle dog with Megan and Derek. Derek starts classes in a few days and Megan must leave soon for an upcoming overseas journalism assignment. Thus, they have limited time to find the missing couple who may be in danger in another state. A road trip with their new guest dog, Totsy, is in order. And Totsy? She's happy to go along. The food is good and she finds the scenery interesting as she rides in her new car.
