September brings harvest and a new season
Welcome to September and the start of a new season. Dryer days and cooler nights will soon replace our long, hot, humid summer. The photo above was taken on a farm in North Georgia with the hay bales ready to be stored for winter as the family dog sleeps in the back of the barn. It also reminds me of starting a new journey to follow the hay bales into a new field.
I've started a new journey into a new "field" as well as a new season. I've written a screenplay to enter into an international contest for Christian movie scripts. Nothing ventured, nothing gained. In this case, the journey of trying may be all I travel. But if I win, the screenplay will be seen by producers and directors. Who knows?
I'm still working on my new book, A Civil Murder: A Megan and Derek Mystery. In this book Derek has signed up to start law school where he meets a professor who is also a neighbor. The elderly professor and his wife go missing, unintentionally leaving their little Snickerdoodle dog with Megan and Derek. Derek has only a few days before classes begin, and Megan has an upcoming assignment to go overseas. Thus, they have limited time to find the missing couple who may be in danger in another state. A road trip with their new guest, Totsy, is in order. An excerpt is included in the newsletter.
